Now back to business. So yesterday we finally got to do:
21. Dark Side of Oz
We thought that Jamie had paid her bill, but apparently it takes 2-3 weeks for Comcast to receive checks in the mail....does that sound like bullshit to you? Because it did to us. So Jamie had an intense conversation with the woman at Comcast for about 10 minutes, complete with an argument that our postal service is the best in the world and that this whole ordeal is making her reconsider keeping Comcast as her cable provider (to which the woman only responded "ok") but even after all that we were still sans On Demand and therefore without Wizard of Oz. BUT THEN! We realized we could watch it online, already synced! A special shout out and thank you goes to my friend Craig for the suggestion! The specific link he sent me didn't work, but that's okay, it was easy enough to find! And if you scroll down a little further I included the same video we watched for your viewing pleasure!
Our set up was a tad ghetto, with the speakers on a cardboard box and connected to the computer's sound system with a radio transmitter:
And the computer set up directly underneath the large flat screen TV
The video was only 43 minutes long but there were some amazing coincidences. The best part to me was the transition into Munchkinland, you have to see it to believe it. So check it out!
22. Write a Letter From the Editor
The next thing crossed off the list was done by me and me alone! One of the things from the book "2,001 Things to Do Before You Die" is to write a Letter to the Editor. But how many people get to write a Letter FROM the Editor?! Well, this guy did!
22. Write a Letter From the Editor
I may only be 22, but I'm lucky enough to be the Managing Editor of a small magazine in Delaware County, PA. For our November issue my boss wanted me to write a letter for our readers letting them know about the new features we added to the magazine like the charity section, holiday shopping guide and interviews with Naomi Watts and Clint Eastwood. And I get to write another for the December issue too! It was really cool and special, and now something that I can cross off my list!
And now for an update on a previous post! Remember when Lindsay and I left secrets in Post Secret books at Barnes and Noble? No? maybe this will jog your memory:
Remember now? Well, SOMEONE BOUGHT ONE! More specifically, someone bought the book that MY SECRET WAS IN! How do I know? Because Lindsay and I went through the other one until we found her secret in the same place we left it. It was surprisingly strange to know that someone out there has my secret. Even though everyone on here can read it. I don't know, it's just strange that they were sitting there, reading through their book, and suddenly my index card falls into their lap. It's actually pretty cool. Try it!
That's all for today, folks. Remember, we're always taking suggestions for more things to do and we encourage you to go out and do things on your own! The only things you end up regretting are the things you never do.
So best of luck to everyone! And until next time, good luck exploring the infinite abyss.
Love Always,
The Go Getters
Karl said that the actual sync up is only the length of the album. So I think we actually watched the entire sync up.
